The DACHSER DPP II 2021 ended with the last session (12) on May 27th. During the ceremony, all the participants were invited to say a few words about what this training meant for them and for their professional and personal development. Here are a few of their statements.

Marina Magalhaes, Team Leader Import Customer Service
DACHSER Brazil

First of all, I thank my managers for selecting me for the DPP training. I am flattered and very grateful for this opportunity. This journey was incredible and I'm certainly a better leader today than I was before. I also thank DACHSER for providing the training. It's been 4 years with DACHSER and with each passing year I'm confident that I'm definitely on the right path. I'll apply all the development and knowledge acquired on a daily basis and contribute to DACHSER’s growth.

A special thank for my DPP’s partners, I am so grateful for feeling so welcome and for the many learnings. It was a great pleasure to meet you all and I hope I have left a smile in everyone's memory.
Jaime Balcazar, Branch Manager Puebla
DACHSER Mexico

At the beginning of the course I was expecting this to be about our coach telling us the magic recipe for Leadership - the steps 1, 2 and 3.

It was soon that I realized that Leadership is a path and the course was a space for self-reflection, auto-examination and a lot of learning, firstly about myself.

Our daily jobs are sometimes so filled with deadlines, workload, pre alerts, ETA's and so much more that it's easy if we're not careful to forget about the most special and unique resource that DACHSER has: our PEOPLE.
This course definitely provided me with the tools to better work with my peers and colleagues!

Farley Batista, Team Leader Air Export Othello Superuser
DACHSER USA

I am very appreciative for the opportunity given to me in allowing me to take part of the DACHSER Leadership Program. The most important thing I have learned is to not judge myself so harshly. I am empathetic to a point, but after that it is OK to be myself and not accept excuses.

As a leader, I want my team to know they can depend and believe in me. I will be more upbeat when communicating with them, as well as demonstrate trust in them by empowering them to make their own decisions in their duties and assigned tasks.

In doing this, their overall morale and productivity should increase in turn helping the company move forward and grow.
Natalia Olawella, Communications Manager
DACHSER Americas

First I want to thank my leaders for allowing me to be a part of this learning process.

The first learning in this training was obviously that there are so many things to learn.
I learned, of course, all the best tools to be a better leader. It will take time for all this information to settle and sediment, but the seed of change was planted.

I believe in giving wings to my team and helping them achieve their personal and professional goals. Now I have better tools to do that.
Becoming a better leader and having a harmonious team brings a stable approach to creating awareness about the DACHSER brand.

Agnes Mrowca, Operations Manager, Othello Power User
DACHSER USA

The DPP II training has taught me that a good leader is never stagnant and always moves forward, learning and adapting.

It also made me a better listener and opened my eyes to be able to actually see my team.

It has showed me that building a strong diverse team is possible through communication and being inclusive.

Congratulations to all participants!
